  • Not in My Price Range

I loved this app when I first downloaded it. I spent hours laboring over each room challenge, carefully selecting the appropriate items to meeting the requirements, make a beautiful design, but not spend all my budget. However, after spending $50 in the first week on diamonds, I realized that this is one online pleasure that I simply cannot afford. I see no way to change that, because if I slow down play, I slow down collecting diamonds. It’s a catch 22. My compliments to the people who created this app. I’m just sad that it’s not in my price range.

The voters need to know what the Design constraints are when they vote. If it is a rustic cottage, then how do you get a score of 5.0 using vintage French Provincial chairs. I am deleting this one!

This is such a fun game. Addictive but creative and if you play it right, it costs next to nothing! One complaint and this is probably directed at the players. Stop voting for all the black and white rooms! And turquoise! Read what the criteria is. Don’t just use all same matchy matchy boring design. If you look through the “winners” it could be ANY room. They all look the same.

you can “play” maybe two rounds (two rooms) before you’re out of “diamonds” or “money”in the game and there’s no way to earn a significant enough amount to play another round. i paid for diamonds once, and never again. $5 of an in-app purchase buys you ONE piece of furniture. there must be someway to get “diamonds/money” (what’s the difference between the two? WHO KNOWS) by leaving a positive review - otherwise this whole game is just a moneygrab. don’t believe me? one 5-star reviewer said they paid $200 from their DEBIT CARD just to design rooms. that’s ridiculous. supposedly you can earn “free diamonds”... by purchasing things from their as partners (so, AGAIN - NOT FREE). or you can watch a 30 second obnoxious add for FIFTEEN (15) whole diamonds, wow! too bad the cheapest things cost around 600 diamonds, and that’s for a dinky vase. aside from all the money grubbing issues - there’s another. when you are “shopping” to see something in the room, you can only see 2 shopping items at a time. so if i’m not sure i want to “buy” a couch, because i want to see how it will look with a new coffee table and chair first - i can’t. when you put a couch you haven’t purchased yet, next to a coffee table you haven’t purchased yet, and then click on a chair that you haven’t purchased yet - the couch disappears. so you can’t even see how they look together. so stupid.
  • Game designers need to be honest

I admit to getting hooked on this game and have truly enjoyed it but am seriously considering not playing anymore. I have been surprised at how many times I’ve spent money to purchase furniture and other items at the ridiculously high prices, only to have the game “apologize for the inconvenience but they have to shut the game down”. This would be annoying but I could deal with it. But this happens too often in the middle of using thousands of diamond dollars to decorate a room, but not having had the chance to complete the room. When I go to log back onto the game to finish my room, the furniture and items that I have purchased are gone, yet the money I spent to purchase them has not been reimbursed. The money is also gone that was already spent to design the room when it shut the game off! If I want to design the room to the place I had it when the game shut down, apparently the creators of this game expect me to spent thousands again to repurchased items I’d already purchased. If this had happened to me once I could overlook it due internet challenges that can happen and because of my enjoyment playing this game, but has happened over and over again. The result of this is that the game creators are getting honest money payed to play their high priced game, without making sure you retain what you’ve purchased! I have given them the benefit of the doubt several times thinking perhaps I’d forgotten and because I enjoy the game. But it has happened now so many times that there is no mistaking the dishonesty involved on the part of the creators of this game. This should have been fixed long ago. Also, I have suspected for some time that the charges to my credit card used while purchasing their items does not always match with my actual purchases. There have been times when I did a one time purchase of $9.99 and the next day their are multiple purchases of $39.99 plus the $9.99 charge yet there is nothing in my inventory that reflects those charges. At this point, as much as I’ve enjoyed the fun of designing these rooms, I feel the unscrupulous practices of the creators to always retain people’s money despite the constant glitches that take place is unbelievably dishonest! This on top of the high prices demanded to play this game. I understand that game creators want to make money, but, please do it reasonably, honestly and with integrity!
  • Love this game, but it is frustrating

Admittedly, I’m addicted to this game, but I’m quickly losing steam and considering deleting the app altogether. First... the voting is a joke. Why do some people follow all the requirements and add every accessory, wall art, and plants and still can’t make it above the 4.00 threshold to win the prize. Yet others that win the 5.0 rating aren’t even the best designs I saw during the voting process. In my mind, if they aren’t going to use any rugs, wall art, plants, or accessories, they shouldn’t even be eligible for the 4.0 rating and we shouldn’t be forced to even vote on these crappy designs! Also, you should allow users to view the rooms before they have to even enter a challenge. Your room designs have been so crappy lately that I would like 1) more designs to choose from so I could still enter a few rooms a day, but choose rooms I like better 2) ideally, I would rather just design a room in the style of the house and area of the house without any ridiculous requirements to buy stuff (all challenges should be like the daily ones) but if I can’t have that, at the very least, I would like a way to see the room and which available inventory items I have for that room based on the requirements before I even enter. Some of the rooms are designed so poorly. For example, the furniture looks like it is either giant or so small that it is miniature in a normal sized house. So, even if you get furniture that could look good together and fulfills a requirement, the scale is so far off from one another and from the room that it is so bad you don’t even want to continue with your room design and get extremely frustrated. The other thing that happens all the time is that you go to use an item and it gives you an “oops” message to tell you it can’t find it in the warehouse. Many times this happens to me “conveniently” when it is a required item to complete a room and it’s the only one I currently own, forcing me to buy something new in order to finish the design. Another thing that is super annoying is that the game only allows you to use an item 5 times. RIDICULOUS! So, it’s costs you a freaking fortune if you really wish to play this game and do it right... of course, by fraud design. At the very least, all rugs, wall art, accessories, and plants should be unlimited use! That is MANDATORY to make this game a true challenge and worth playing. I could live with a 10 use limit on all other items if the items that allow you to polish off a room were unlimited after you use them. Simply put, there is no way to ever play this game if you don’t pony up a fortune of cash because of the 5 use limit and that fact that all wall art and accessories are a freaking fortune in diamonds which can only be purchased or earned at a rate of 500 a day, which won’t even buy anything but a small vase of roses, table plant, or small table decoration... not to mention, it takes several of those items to finish a single room and have it look nice enough to enter a challenge. I think it’s ironic too that when you go out to the websites to see these actual products for purchase in real life, the cost of purchasing the real item is so much cheaper than the bloated price you have in the game! That is so bad... and almost seems a bit fraudulent! I have to keep reminding myself this is just a game and I should probably just delete it and stop playing because of the frustration it causes and feeling like it is the ultimate Bernie Madoff con job. So... my recommendation to people that haven’t tried this game yet... STAY AWAY IF YOU DONT FEEL LIKE BEING ROBBED BLIND! And... to the game designers... hire some better UX Designers, Visual Designers, and QA Testers so that you create a better game experience where everyone can enjoy the game for a reasonable cost vs a model that costs a freaking fortune to build a nice room and half the time it doesn’t even look that nice because the furniture and room scales are so far off one another that it’s a joke and the requirements make it even more of a joke! Oh... and maybe you should ask on every room design if it was a good one. I would say there are probably only 1 in 25 designs that I would be rating as a good room design that also don’t have scaling flaws. You should also have a way to report when a piece of furniture has scale issues. It’s convenient on your part when a prize that costs a freaking fortune to win isn’t even usable because it looks like it is a 1:12 scale in a regular sized room! Figure it out and create a better user experience!

I love this app however I feel like it takes way to long to be able to level up. For people that are not able to spend real life $$$ on this game leveling up will take you FOREVER! I believe if this app made leveling up more accessible to everyone even those that can not drop tons of actual money into the game that this would be the perfect app! I’ve been playing daily for over a year and am only to level 19 and that is with spending my hard earned money. Whenever the day comes that leveling up can be more within reach for all people I’ll give it 5 stars and a perfect review!
  • Great idea...but needs some work

I’m loving the idea of this game, and would play it constantly, but as a new player it is very frustrating. The vast majority of challenges require multiple specific items, that you don’t have the resources to buy yet. And then when you are able to enter a room, it’s very sparsely furnished with the least expensive furnishings, so you can’t really compete to win the prizes. I could see after months of daily play it would be more rewarding, but it needs to have more incentive for new players.
  • Scoring is unfair

I’ve written to support many times over the issues with scoring. Im seeing the same monochromatic designs win the top scores over and over. They aren’t even designs anyone would want to live in. Call me cynical but I also believe the game is set up to let everyone win the top score occasionally to keep them playing otherwise how would they keep players. There are also limited ways to earn the diamonds that pay for the nicer pieces of decor. They are quite stingy with the diamonds.

This isn’t fair. There is literally no way to get diamonds except paying. Not to mention ,all of the things I used are GONE!!!😠
