I’m not sure how it determines a robot/telemarketer call. Clearly not working for me.

I had this app on Android during it's early beta phase and it worked wonderfully a year ago. Now that I have a Apple and remembered about how Apple has the full unbeta version, I got it installed and gave it a go. It works exactly the same as on Android but I find it better and more fluent on Apple. To the many people complaining it's not working, Read the description of the common troubleshooting issues. It's really a easy fix on the fixes for what the common crashes, reinstall install to fix the bugs, etc. if you just read before installing and then leaving a bad review without trying it to its fullest. If it doesn't work with your device, Check to see if your OS is up to date and also compatible with the app otherwise uninstall, reinstall or factory reset your phone. Also, This app requires a almost daily open the app to refresh the blacklist. They are working towards a better update each time the tech team works the code. Give them a chance. They are reading these reviews and are doing all they can. They are people like you and I so stop pressuring them into bringing it all at once before you on a silver platter. The customer support team work wonderfully and are professional at what they do! They have helped me more than once on my Android and surely will with my Apple. Oh and there WILL be robo/spam calls coming in and through the blocker cause they are getting smarter and know your number has a blocker so they will try new and random numbers to get you so just report them and they'll be added to the database. I also have ATT call blocker with NoMoRobo and also my default phone blocker. All three work side by side so I have no issues at all and eventually I know the calls will lessen over time. Great job Nomorobo team!

It appears to be free until you open the app, at which point a subscription is required. Please be up front about needing to purchase a subscription before I waste time downloading the app.
  • Deleted it immediately

Looked like this app was free, downloaded it and immediately saw that it was not. That should have been made more clear before I downloaded the app.
  • Tech support has not fixed

My paid for app keeps saying the app is being used on another device. I contacted tech support and they asked about sharing an Apple ID. I do share, but I have the one an only app loaded on my phone. I have the robo call problem, not my husband. Tech support is unable to resolve the issue, I presume because his phone number is associated with the iID. When I try to transfer to my number, it say domain error. Very frustrating. Will not renew, but try another app...

I’ve been harassed by robocalls from scammers and telemarketers for at least five years, to the point that I could feel my stress level go up every time my phone rang. Stopped answering any call from a number not stored in my contacts (figured they’d leave a voice mail if they were a legitimate caller), set up a silent default ringtone on my phone so those calls don’t even make noise (known callers get a custom ringtone), have a blocked number list longer than my arm... Finally, after a couple days several months back wherein I got multiple calls, I went looking for a better solution and examined different free and paid options before settling on Nomorobo. I’ve had Nomorobo installed for almost a year and it works near perfectly. The calls stopped appearing on my screen immediately and I paid for a full year’s subscription before my trial was even over. That comes to about $1.50/per month, well worth the reduction in stress from being hassled. Yes, scammers spoof numbers to look local to me and Nomorobo can’t block those for technical reasons, but they usually still identify them as robocallers, so it saves me googling the number. Report it to Nomorobo, add to my blocked list, quickly move on. So much better than what I used to have to suffer!
  • Great Potential, Not Effective Enough

I really love that this app respects our privacy- it doesn’t send your data to a server, record information or sell any of your data to services. Kudos to the developers for their honesty. The concern I have with this app is its effectiveness- it seeks to prevent robo calls using the process of elimination- by slowly adding to a data base of bogus numbers. While this seems like a sensible solution- it’s kind of a hit and miss because most robo calls can switch numbers in an instant. I’ve had the app for about 8 hours now, and I just got two consecutive robo calls- the robo caller instantly switched numbers when I declined the first “neighbor spoof” number. The calls were within 30 second of each other. It’s an easy to use app and it has great promise but I’m not sure much can be done for the robocalling issue- unless technology advances and we figure out how to counter the algorithms utilized to make such devious and sneaky robo calls. It’s a shame robo calls even exist- it’s not like people even listen to them- what’s the point of trying to use them to scam people? Most people decline numbers they see as foreign- a petty way for a petty thief. Great promise as a future app- but still needs work. I will continue with the trial :)

I’ve had this app for several months now and I’ve gone from getting 4-6 illegal calls a day to 1-2 a week. It’s not perfect of course. Sometimes it will ring my phone with a number that it has already identified as a robocall. Also support is sorely lacking: the help menu needs to be edited and they never reply to submitted questions. But the app is straightforward enough that you probably won’t need support. Overall though, I’m extremely happy with this service and I’m going to keep it.

Got the app after seeing it featured on iTunes with 30 day trial. App is actually Only a 14 day trial. Now see the reviews state that a number of calls aren’t even blocked. Disappointment x disappointment = 1 star . Don’t waste your time on this

This app failed to block any robocalls and about half the time I got errors when trying to update the db.
