  • On-Demand Feature Useless

    By Scootersleg
As noted by others, the latest update has essentially rendered the on-demand feature useless. Too bad, loved this app up to this point.
  • Broken On Demand

    By Leahy02116
Not sure what you guys did to “fix” the on demand functionality, but it doesn’t work well at all now; I’m constantly having to manually open the app and reconnect since your latest updates whereas before the VPN would always connect as expected & without issue. What was wrong with the old setup of configuring which specific Wi-Fi networks you wanted to enable on demand functionality for? The new way of marking networks as “safe” is not user-friendly at all and—more importantly—it just doesn’t work. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it & KISS, c’mon guys. Update: been over a week and still no update to remedy the on demand functionality they broke.
  • Horrible update. Doesn’t auto connect

    By nowitsruined
The most recent update has ruined this app for my mobile phone. It’s supposed to give you the option to “automatically connect” whenever your phone is on a WiFi network. The problem? It doesn’t unless you manually open the app. Whereas before you could add the network you were on to auto-connect when on WiFi now it gives you the option to trust a network so that the VPN doesn’t come on. It’s completely backward and nonfunctional!!! Fix it soon or I’m taking my business elsewhere. Update 5/26: I’ve been in a constant back and forth with customer service regarding the issue everyone is having with the new update. They claim it’s an issue on iOS and told me they’d have it fixed by the end of the week with a new update. Well that never happened. I was told to manually configure my VPN settings on my iPhone with certain things (this would use L2TP) instead of my preferred IKEv2 (I wish there was OpenVPN on iOS like on the desktop). This manual setup did not fix the issue. It continues to drop my connection to the VPN at random and doesn’t reconnect. I never really know when I’m connected or not which is bothersome for me as I want privacy. I’m exploring other VPN options at this point. If you’ve had experience with some please list them in your reviews.
  • On Demand problems

Newest version has screwed up the on demand option - as in it no longer works as intended. Very frustrating.
  • 👎🏿👎🏿

I don’t know a ton about VPNs but like others, I decided to use one for the sake of my privacy especially since the repeal of net neutrality. I don’t know how fast they’re supposed to work but I have learned that IPVanish sponsors bloggers to recommend them. I chose IPVanish over Nord, Express, and the new VPNHUB made by you-know-who because of its word of mouth but now I’m disappointed I trusted people who are obviously just being paid to say this VPN works and is good. Express works the best in my opinion but because of that, they are more expensive than IPvanish. The main differences I have experienced between the two are lag times and constant connectivity. IpVanish had the option to connect automatically but doesn’t work. My phone is constantly being disconnected from theVPN. If i have to go into the app several times a day to reconnect, what is the point of the automatic connection option? However, that isn’t as frustrating as the SLOW SPEED. I expected the VPN to affect the internet speed, but not this much. It’s become impossible to stream any content from any source because the speed is so slow. I don’t feel protected because my VPN is constantly being turned off and I never know when it is off but I would prefer a fast internet speed otherwise the “privacy protection” IPvanish “offers” isn’t really worth it. Luckily I only purchased for a month. I was skeptical this VPN would meet all of my needs. So far, I’ll likely end up going back to Express. The few extra dollars is worth a stable fast connection that doesn’t disconnect several times a day. Would I recommend IPVanish? For certain situations if you only want limited connectivity and a slow connection, sure I would. I think IPVanish could be better, I’ve seen it recommended over and over but I haven’t seen them live up to the word of mouth they pay for. I’m disappointed.
  • Update bug

I like the new update but sometimes even with ‘On Demand’ enabled it won’t reconnect when joining home WiFi. Note: WiFi networks and cell networks are not trusted
  • 3.1.4

Opening app, Connect or Disconnect reverts to ‘updating servers.’ ‘On Demand’ function turn-on & Apply & Reconnect doesn’t reconnect & selecting ‘reconnect’ doesn’t reconnect until selecting On Demand off. Prior versions truly seamless. Now wondering alternative.
  • Renewal.
